Thirteen migrants were injured with two of them in critical condition after the car they were in burst into flames.
The jeep-type car slipped off the road on the old Kavala Thessaloniki highway in North Greece early Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters managed to pull the passengers and the driver in time.
The accident occurred while the driver was trying to escape at high speed a police chase. He had not stop at the police control a few kilometers earlier.
A woman and a child are reportedly among the migrants believed to have recently illegally entered Greece from Turkey. The rest are men mainly from Pakistan and Somalia.
Ambulances transferred the injured to the hospital.
According to local media, two of the migrants are in critical condition due to head injuries.
Last week, eleven migrants were burned alive in a similar accident more or less at the same area of the old national highway.
