Greek authorities have arrested two foreigners wanted with a European arrest warrant for the abduction of a child in United Kingdom.
A 37-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were arrested at the Border Control point Kipoi at Evros river as they were trying to enter Turkey from Greece.
When authorities checked their travel papers they found out that an arrest warrant had been issued against both of them for the abduction of a child from a parent in the UK.
Police has not disclosed their nationalities or any other details about the abduction incident in the UK.
In its statement police said the necessary procedures will apply for the two foreigners.
The two were arrested on Thursday morning, November 1, 2018.
