Greek citizen arrested in Evros after illegally entered to Turkey

Turkish authorities have arrested a Greek citizen in the area of Evros river. According to preliminary information, the man was trying to enter Turkey illegally.

According to Turkish authorities, the Greek citizen is a 50-year-old convict identified with the name initials M. A.

The man was arrested after he illegally entered Turkey and was spotted in a forbidden military zone near the village Bosnakoy.

He was convicted to 20 years imprisonment for murder and had served half of his sentence.

He is held in the Aliens section of Police in Edirne, West Turkey.

After the procedures conclude, he is expected to be extradited to Greece.
