Ferries remain docked at several Greek ports due to powerful winds

Ferries and ships remain docked at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio in Attica and other ports across Greece on Wednesday, due to strong winds blowing with intensity of up to 9 Beaufort and locally up to 10 B.

Ferry links Aghia Marina-Nea Styra, Kavala-Prinos, Kavala-Thassos, Kyllini-Zakynthos and Kyllini-Kefalonia are not operating.

Ferries are not allowed to depart the port of Rafina for the Cyclades islands.

For the time being there is no sailing ban for ferries departing from the port of Piraeus.

Passengers planning to travel by sea are advised to contact the local port authorities or travel agencies.
