Sahara Dust will strike large parts of Greece on Wednesday creating a suffocating atmosphere. Epirus, West Sterea, Crete, Athens and Attica and Peloponnese are the regions to be mostly affected by the phenomenon.
Meteorologists forecast increased concentration of Sahara dust particles that will be transported to Greece from Libya due to powerful winds.
The most difficult days are expected to be Thursday and Friday, while the phenomenon is forecast to last until Saturday, April 27, 2019.
The pehonemenon is expected to reach also the UK and Scandinavian countries.
Temperatures will rise to 25 and 28 degrees Celsius maximum with the effect that the atmosphere will be especially unpleasant.
