What if we, in Athens, have 30 degrees Celsius and a bright sunshine on Wednesday? The weather is going to rapidly change for the worse with rainfalls, thunderstorms, powerful winds and possible hail falls.
The Greek National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued a weather warning. The barometric low will start in the West of the country on Thursday morning and will soon reach the East.
The bad weather is forecast to affect also Thessaloniki in the North and also Attica and the Greek capital Athens, especially in the night from Thursday to Friday.

Strong rainfalls and storms as of Thursday noon in North Ionian Sea, Epirus and West Sterea. As of late in the night also in South Ionian, West Peloponnese and locally in West and Central Macedonia.

The strong weather phenomena will continue until the noon hours in Ionian Sea, Epirus, West Peloponnese, West and Central Macedonia.
Gradual weather improvement in these areas as of the afternoon.
Strong rainfalls and storms in the morning hours in East Macedonia, Thrace, and possible also in Thessaly. Weather improvement as of the evening hours.
The barometric low will move to the East in the early afternoon with rainfalls and storms in North-East Aegean Sea.

Improvement in the morning hours of Saturday.
