One student suffered a head injury during a students’ protest rally in downtown Athens on Thursday. The 19-year-old received first aid on the spot and was transferred to a hospital.
The student was reportedly hit by a sound flare when riot police fired tear gas and sound flares against the protesters.
Students gathered in the center of the city to protest the abolition of university asylum. Furthermore, they demand that the Education Ministry withdraws the time limit in which they have to finish their studies or be expelled form the university.
The students schedule to hold another demonstration this time outside the Education Ministry, tomorrow, Friday.
