12-year-old knocks out sexual assaulter with three kickboxing moves

A 12-year-old girl knocked out a sexual assaulter with three kickboxing moves and managed to escape the worse. The girl is a martial arts athlete and did not hesitate a minute to defend herself.

Ioanna was returning home in Perama suburb of Piraeus with a public bus. A passenger followed her when she got off the bus at the bus stop near her home.

The assaulter first asked her how to go to a suburb of Athens, but “he suddenly grabbed me at my chest, I panicked, I didn’t know what to do,” she told media.

Apparently she quickly recalled all the training she had got in martial arts and successfully defended herself.

“I kicked him on the face, he got dizzy, then I punched him twice and he fell on a car. I started to scream, my mom came out from the home, and he started to run in panic,” she said.

The man was at the height of her father, she said, around 24-25 years old.

Short time after the incident, the man was arrested by the local police. He is Algerian national and 26 years old.

Police officers were reportedly surprised to see how damaged was the man’s face after he met the girl’s kicks and punches.

Ioanna has been training in Sanshou kickboxing since the age of 8.  Sanshou, also known as Sanda, Chinese kickboxing, is a Chinese self-defense system and combat sport.
