Greek actor to run Athens-Glasgow to raise climate change awareness

A Greek ultra-runner and actor is set to run across Europe to raise the profile of the COP2 environmental conference being held in Glasgow in November.

Agis Emmanouil will start in Athens in August and will cover 2,421 km in 70 days. He will reach Glasgow in November.
During his journey he will be accompanied by various ultra runners from the five countries – inc; Greece, Italy, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK – he will cross.

Acotr and runner Emmanuil is supported by the Actors Union of Greece.

Emmanouil has launched a fundraising page to enable him to support local environmental projects in the countries he will run through.
