Ferries and ships will remain docked at Greece’s port after the union umbrella of Panhellenic Seamen Federation declared a 24-hour strike on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
The strike will affect all types of ships and ferries from 00:01 until 24:00 on June 3.
With the strike, the seamen protest the new labor law that gives “the last blow to remaining labor rights and uproots the biggest labor achievement, the 8-hour work day, that was institutionalized in the country 100 years ago,” the Federation said among other in a statement.
If you plane to travel by sea on June 3, contact local port authorities and travel agents.
Good news everything getting normal again!
