Ferries, ships docked at Greece’s ports on June 3 due to 24h strike

Ferries and ships will remain docked at Greece’s port after the union umbrella of Panhellenic Seamen Federation declared a 24-hour strike on Thursday, June 3, 2021.

The strike will affect all types of ships and ferries from 00:01 until 24:00 on June 3.

With the strike, the seamen protest the new labor law that gives “the last blow to remaining labor rights and uproots the biggest labor achievement, the 8-hour work day, that was institutionalized in the country 100 years ago,” the Federation said among other in a statement.
