Greece will be testing its Civil Protection emergency alert systems on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, with sirens sounding at 11:00 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. throughout the country.
Both siren alarms tests will last 60 seconds each, with the first one sounding intermittently and at varying levels and the second one continuously and at consistent level.
The test is in the context of the military exercise “Parmenion 21”.
Parmenion 21, a national interdisciplinary and large-scale defense exercise, began on September 24 and will conclude on October 1.
Failure! Wouldn’t hear them at all if the church bells were ringing, or the priests were wailing.
