The first snow of this winter started to fall on the Mount Parnitha in the north of Athens since Tuesday and cameras captured deer at an altitude of 1,050 meters. Traffic has been party halted in the area.

According to Skai TV, snow may fall on the mountainous areas of north Athens today Wednesday as well.
Meteorologists warn of snow falls even in Attica and the north suburbs Athens as a cold weather front coming from Russia is forecast for the upcoming weekend.
Snowfall is reportedly forecast also in low altitude areas in Evia, Magnisia, Sterea, East Thessaly, East and North Peloponnese.
