Greece’s Ministry for Citizen Protection signed a decision to hire 250 border guards to serve at Evros the northeastern land border with Turkey.
The decision was signed by Minister Takis Theodorikakos and Deputy Citizen Protection Minister Eleftherios Economou on Sunday.
Following the publication of the decision, a proclamation is to be issued next week by the Hellenic Police command.
The hiring and training process will be completed by the beginning of the following year.
