Coronavirus cases rose to 8,015 on Wednesday and reinfections to 660 in the last 24 hours. Greece’s health authorities announced also 32 Covid-related deaths in the same time. The number of intubated Covid-patients in hospitals across the country stands at 231.
Total confirmed infections since the pandemic began are 3,343,565 (daily change: +0.2%).
Of the daily total, reinfections are estimated at 660 in the last 24 hours, while their total since the pandemic began is estimated at 124,363 (3.6% pct of the total positive results).

32 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours brought the total pandemic victims to 29,284. Of these, 95.5% had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or over.
Health experts warned that the majority of the deaths are patients over 70 year old.
231 Covid-patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 71 years, 93.1% have an underlying condition and/or are aged 70 or over.
Of the total on ventilators, 119 (51.52%) are unvaccinated or partly vaccinated and 112 (48.48%) are fully vaccinated.
4,614 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the pandemic began.
155 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change: +15.67%). The average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 162.
The median age of new infections is 36 years (range: 0.2 to 112 years), while the median age of the deceased is 79 (range: 0.2 to 106 years).
