Greece’s Meteorological Service EMY issued an emergency bulletin on Friday warning of weather deterioration forecast to hit several parts of the country from Friday afternoon until early Saturday afternoon, March 10-11, 2023.
Man features of the bad weather front are heavy rainfalls and storms, accompanied locally by high frequency lightning and possibly hail and strong south-southwest winds.
The bad weather front comes from North-West, as the video below shows for March 10 and 15.
Weather Warning & affected regions
Friday, March 10
a) from the afternoon hours: northern Ionian islands, and Epirus
b) from the evening hours: western and central Sterea and in places Macedonia and North-Western Peloponnese.
Saturday, March 11
a) until the morning hours: northern Ionian islands, Epirus, western and central Sterea, northwestern Peloponnese, Macedonia (mainly central and eastern)
b) until noon: Thrace
c) until the early afternoon hours: islands of the eastern Aegean Sea
