Prince Albert II of Monaco will be visiting the island of Elafonisos to attend the Eco-Week symposium on May 29.
The prince’s visit to the island, located off the southern end of the Peloponnese, is taking place in the context of attending the 6th Edition of the Eco-Sustainable Symposium during the Elafonissos EcoWeek-Green Challenge 2023 (May 29-June 4).
According to organizers, the ECO-SUSTAINABLE SYMPOSIUM promotes Sustainability and Collaboration of communities.
This year’s meeting, the 6th in a row, focuses on:
– Circular economy and private actions to protect the environment
– Public plans for the sustainability of territories
-Community participation in the planning and execution of sustainable actions
“The event will establish the future for the protection of our territories along with gastronomic and artistic activities,” Elafonisos Eco Week said on its website.
Elafonisos Mayor Efi Liarou had attended a conference in Monaco last month on the protection of the Mediterranean aquamarine ecosystem.
