Dozens of people were transferred to hospitals in central Greece due to excessive use of alcohol during a mega students party with over 8,000 young participants who traveled to Volos from several parts of Greece.
The party was organized by students of the Mechanical Engineering Department and its very popular among young people, students or not, who travel many kilometers to be present and have fun.
According to media, 40 to 50 young people were taken to the Emergency Department of the Volos Hospital by ambulances as well as by private cars from dawn to the early morning hours of Friday.
The party started at 11 p.m. at the premises of the University of Thessaly in the Field of Ares in Volos.

According to the list, the prices for beers and shots were 2 euros, for other drinks 5, and for a bottle of liquor at 40 euros.
There was also Happy Hour from 11 to 12:30 with drinks and shots almost at half price.For a period of time, there were more discounts on drinks and shots.
