Hollywood star George Clooney paid a short visit on the island of Mykonos, invited to attend an even organized by Omega Swiss luxury watches.
According to local media, Clooney was friendly with the airport personnel and immediately headed to his hotel after he arrived with a private jet.
Wife and kids did not accompanied him as it was a strictly business 24-hour visit.
Clooney was reportedly registered at the hotel with another name, and hotel staff had to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Draconian security measures with police and dogs were enforced when Clooney attended the big party and the following dinner at the beach of Lia, where sun-umbrellas and bed were removed and the beach was ‘flooded’ with yellow lights.
George Clooney and the rest of the guests enjoyed the menu of chef Tasos Mantis which had reportedly a taste of Greece and included summer salad, smoked mayatiko-fish, poached cod and cherry ice cream accompanied by Greek wines.
The event was attended by 200 journalists from all over the world, including representatives of the American magazines Vogue and Marie Claire, as well as many influencers.
Clooney stars in Omega’s campaign for the Speedmaster line of watches.
