An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale struck between the islands of Santorini and Amorgos in the central Aegean Sea on Friday morning.
The earthquake that rattled both island occurred at 10:49 local time.
According to preliminary information by the Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 23 km South-South-West of Arkesini on Amorgos.
Its focal depth was 17.1 km.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or material damages.
The tremor was felt also in the broader islands area.
