Two police officers were arrested on Monday afternoon for leaking to media a video with the body of fatally shot V.Z. shortly after the mafia-style murder in Neos Kosmos in the early hours of Sunday.
The police officers were arrested on the charge of recording and leaking to the media a video showing the victim’s body shortly after the murder, media reported.
The officers have allegedly confessed that they did the recording and the leakage. They have been referred to stand trial in the court.
At the same time, authorities investigate how a video recorded from a CCTV camera was copied and leaked also to the press.
The CCTV video showed the moment the perpetrators attacked with Kalashnikov weapons the 44-year-old victim outside his fuel station.
Media or better say “sources of the Police” did not mention whether the arrested police officers also confessed to have handed out the videos to media in exchange of money….
