Three vessels of Greek Navy open to public March 22-25 at Piraeus port

Three vessels of the Greek Navy vessels will dock at the port of Piraeus on Friday, March 22, as part of the celebrations for the Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Rule on 25 March 1821.

The three vessels, the frigate LIMNOS, the submarine PAPANIKOLIS and the Fast Attack Missile HS DANIOLOS will be open to the  public:

  • Friday, Maarch 22 from 15:00 to 19:00, on
  • Saturday, March 23 from 09:00 to 19:00
  • Sunday, March 24 from 09:00 to 19:00
  • Monday, March 25  from 09:00 to 17:00.

The Hellenic Navy General Staff underlined that children aged under 12 are not allowed to visit the submarine PAPANIKOLIS.

Historic submarine Papanikolis ( Y-2 Παπανικολής) was one of the most successful Greek submarines during the Second World War.
