Greece’s National Meteorology Service EMY issued a weather warning of rain and storm front CASSANDRA forecast to hit Greece on Friday and Saturday, October 4-5, 2024.
Cassandra is forecast to pass initially the North of Greece and extend to the South.
The weather will deteriorate with the passage of a cold front, from the afternoon hours of Friday, October 4, until Saturday evening, October 5, with strong rainfalls and storms in places, mainly in the western and northeastern parts of the country.

From the afternoon hours, rainfalls and storms will initially affect the northern Ionian islands and gradually Epirus, the rest of the Ionian islands, western Sterea and northwestern Peloponnese.
Possibly, during the night, the western parts of Thessaly will also be temporarily affected.
Weakening of phenomena from the night in the North-West.

a) From the early hours of the morning until midday, rain and storms will affect the western mainland and the western Peloponnese.
b) From the midday hours until the evening, affected will be eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the northeastern Aegean Sea.
