Greece’s National Meteorological Service EMY issued a weather warning of heavy rainfalls and storms accompanied by a high frequency of lightning and local hail.
The locally intense phenomena are forecast to be in effect from Friday to Sunday, December 6-8, 2024.
Residents of islands Rhodes, Chios, Samos, Psara received warning messages via <112> to limit their movements to only to necessary ones.

EMY WEATHER WARNING
Heavy rainfalls and storms are expected:
☑️1) Friday, Dec 6, in the Dodecanese and the islands of the Eastern Aegean from Chios and further south.
☑️2) Saturday, Dec 7
a) In the Dodecanese and the islands of the Eastern Aegean from Chios and further south until noon.
b) In the Ionian Sea until the afternoon.
c) In Epirus until noon.
d) In western Sterea until the afternoon.
e) In western Peloponnese from noon to evening.
f) In Macedonia at intervals from the pre-midday hours until the afternoon.
g) In Thrace and the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean from the pre-midday hours. A weakening of the strong phenomena is expected from the morning hours of Sunday, Dec 8.
