Greece’s health authorities announced on Sunday evening 588 new coronavirus cases and 70 deaths in the past 24 hours. 515 Covid-19 patients are intubated in hospitals across the country.
Death toll has reached 4,172 and the total cases stand at 131,072.
Due to the weekend, some 10,000 fewer tests were carried out than the normal weekdays.
Among the latest fatalities are two from the age group 18-35 and 10 form age group 40-64.

According to the official daily bulletin on Sundaay, 5211(4.0%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 38349 (29.3%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
52.5% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 515 from 534 a day earlier. Their average age is 67, among them are 165 women. 77.1% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
800 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 70 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 4172. Of the deceased 1682 (40.3%) were women. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 95.7% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.
Rolling weekly average cases at 947 from 1304 last week.
Total tests since begin of the outbreak are 2,682,846 and 440,453 Rapid AG tests
Tests in the last 24 hours: 8,639 with —% οf them positive. A good, normal number with less reason for concerns is when positive is below 2%.

Of the 588 new coronavirus cases, 11 were detected at the country’s entry points.
