Unionists of public and private sector unions GSEE and ADEDY as wells as members and supporters of main opposition left-wing SYRIZA and communist union PAME have gathered outside the Greek Parliament to protest the voting of another austerity budget, i.e. Budget 2015.
Police closed the traffic around the area.
Unconfirmed reports speak of some 3,000 people plus the PAME members. PAME alone manages to mobilize several thousands.
According to some reports, kind a number of protesters left when the rain started short after 6:30 pm.
Together with anti-austerity groups are also groups expressing solidarity with hunger-striker Nikos Romanos.
Romanos supporters are reportedly members of the group that has been occupying the headquarters of union GSEE since Friday.
Police presence is strong as usual but things are currently calm and nothing reminds the riots and clashes of Saturday.
It is certain that the Budget 2015 will pass as coalition government Nea Dimokratia-PASOK have 154 seats in a Parliament of 300.
Probably a typo, but there are 300 seats in the parliament.
