After Trump’s election: The New Trend in Europe

Republican candidate Donald Trump’s victory in the American presidential election, on 8 November after a brutal and divisive campaign, has unleashed a wave of concern in Europe. Some populist leaders however, like Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, the Netherland’s Geert Wilders, Germany’s Frauke Petry and Marine Le Pen from France, were delighted, as they believe the Republican tycoon’s election expresses a long-lasting trend in Western politics and they seek to take advantage of it in the upcoming elections in their respective countries.

  1. I think that Trump’s election, and the Brexit vote in the UK, is less of a ‘voter revolution, and more a case of gullible and uninformed people believing the lie that ‘if we only did X’ then everything would be perfect. These two votes are not ‘the people taking back control’ it is in fact the people being sold a bottle of snake oil and being dumb enough to buy it.

    • Ameriscum Democracy and its pure greatness: Just 23,8 % voted for the Kraut, Clinton got 23,9 % – as only some 129 million out of 251 million voters actually did buy this bullshit… but the power-crazed criminals don’t care, their authorities also steal away citizens rights of some 20 million people – of these 20 million 1 million are American Indians – and don’t let’em vote – an alarming big part of the only Americans who’d have legal voting rights first of all, the others should be granted this rights only after asking for legal papers in the next reservation camp to make their stay in America legal – this are squatter rights, not voter rights.
