A rally for the legalization of cannabis takes place in downtown Athens on Saturday. The Pan Hellenic Cannabis Rally is part of the “Global Marijuana March” campaign, that takes place simultaneously in 300 cities around the world.
The rally slogan is “against the ban” of cannabis.
The organizers in Greece have started with an information campaign at 12 o clock at Syntagma square. At 4 pm they will rally to Thiseio district where a music event is to start at 6:30 pm and last until midnight.
Organizers have appealed to all patient groups, doctors, farmers, users, organizations, operators and individual friends and supporters of the use of cannabis to join the rally which is supported by several organizations.
A few days ago, Health Ministe randreas Xanthos and Labor Minister Efi Ahtsioglou participated at the event YES WE CAN-NABIS and discussed the benefits of hemp and recreational cannabis. Organizers were the Youth Branch of ruling SYRIZA.
PS by such low wages, Greece’s workers would desperately need recreation in cannabis… 😛
