Metro direct connection to/from Athens Airport resume on Nov 10

Athens Metro Line 3 will resume direct connection to/from Athens International Airport on Saturday, November 10th 2018, Athens Urban Rail Transport Organization (STASY) announced on Friday.

Passengers on Metro Line 3 <Agia Marina> to/from <Athens International Airport> will not need to change at <Doukissis Plakentias> station.

Schedule from <Agia Marina> to Airport start every 00:26 and 00:56 of every hour.

Schedules from <Athens Airport> to <Agia Marina> leave every 00:24 and 00:54 every hour.

STASY said that it resumes the direct connection to the airport taking into consideration the ‘few requests to halt the change of metro trains.’

Direct connections were halted as of November 1st and triggered an outrage because travelers had to change not only metro but also platforms, climbing stairs up and down with their luggage.

Resuming of direction connection followed an intervention by the General secretary of the Transportation Ministry.

PS Based on the schedules above, KTG understands that not all of the Metro trains of Line 3 will end up to the Airport and vice versa. Yet, there will still be two direct connections per hour. To be sure ask at the metro stations or at the airport.
