A new bad weather front is forecast to hit Greece as of Wednesday, night, November 6, 2019. It will strike with rainfalls, local thunderstorms, strong South winds, Sahara dust and mud rain.
Greece’s national Meteorological Service EMY has issued a weather warning and so did the Greek Fire Service and the Civil Protection.

The extreme weather phenomena are forecast to strike initially north-western Greece.
Weather Forecast No 6-8, 2019
Wednesday-Thursday, Nov 6-7
Affected are initially the islands of the North Ionian Sea – mainly Corfu.
In the early morning hours of Thursday: Epirus, the remaining islands in the Ionian Sea, possibly West Sterea.
Thunderstorms in Central Macedonia and possibly Thrace by Thursday noon.
As of the early afternoon, the phenomena will move to the rest of Greece, towards the East.
The phenomena will continue until in the night to Friday.
Friday, Nov 8
EMY issued a new warning for Friday as the bad weather front will affect almost the whole of the country.
Affected Areas are:East Peloponnese, East Sterea, Attica, Evia, Central and East Macedonia, Thrace, island sof North Aegean Sea. Possibly also: Thessaly, Cyclades and West Crete.
Sahara dust
South winds up to 6 and locally up to 7 Beaufort in the Aegean and the Ionian Sea on Thursday, will bring waves of Sahara dust and mud rains.
Attica: high concentration of Sahara dust and mud rains on Thursday afternoon. Weather deterioration on Friday with powerful thunderstorms, locally with hail-storms.Thessaloniki: More or less the same weather phenomena on Thursday and Friday with high concentration of dust.

The weather will temporary improve on Saturday, Nov 9, but will deteriorate again on Sunday, Nov 10.
UPDATE
In a new weather warning issued on Saturday, the Greek Meteorological Service and the Meteo warns of heavy rainfalls and strong thunderstorms over the weekend, Nov 9-10, 2019.
Affected by the strong weather phenomena will be West and North Greece.
The islands in the Ionian Sea, Epirus and possibly West Sterea will be hit by the bad weather front Saturday night and the early morning hours of Sunday.
West Peloponnese will be hit from late Saturday until Sunday noon.
