“The once crowded streets and squares of Athens have been empty for a week now. The country has banned traffic and at least most citizens have complied with this directive. “More than 50 people have died and more than 1,500 cases have been reported across Greece,” writes euroneews on April 3..
Greece was one of the countries that took relatively early measures to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
The Associated Press’s drone video shows the impressive monuments of the Greek capital, the squares such as Syntagma, Monastiraki, and even the Parthenon are without people.
A 3:30 minute video with images even from the coastal front of Attica, main streets. Images that are definitely beautiful and impressive but on the other hand cause sadness since there is no man on the streets. The city is empty because it is in a different “war”, as several leaders have said, that the planet is at the moment.

This article says..there is no MAN on the street..Does that mean there were no WOMEN on the street either, when they said man did that mean either women or men and if so why didnt they say women or men or perhaps..people..man implies male person or male persons,it doesnt mean female persons.Nobody says.. there was no woman on the street.. do they, when they mean both sexes, writing requires accuracy and women are not men,not the same thing, theres men and theres women, together we are women and men or people.
Who cares? Seriously, who gives a **** about this stupid political correctness, when it is obvious that the writer means “human being of either, any, both or no gender”?
What matters is getting through this crisis. Fussing about terminology is a distraction from the real issues.
Normally the male pronoun is used by default ‘in the Biblical sense’ for mankind of both genders.
