21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and one more death, Greece’s health authorities announced on Friday evening. The total number of coronavirus infections stands 2,873 with 55.2% to be men. Death toll stands at 169.
19 of the new cases refer to known cases in a settlement.
Of the total infections 612( 21.3%) are related to travel abroad and 1,446 (50.3%) are related to confirmed cases in Greece.
19 patients are intubated in hospitals Intensive Care Units. Their average age is 72. Six (31.6%) among them are women.
89.5% of the intubated patients have underlying health issues or are over 70 years old.
A total of 98 patients have been discharged from ICUs since the beginning of the outbreak.
Among the 169 deceased were 49 (29.9%) women.
The average age of the deceased was 76 and 94.1% had underlying health problems and/or over 70 years old..
A total of 147,958 coronavirus tests have been conducted since the outbreak in Greece in late February.
