Greece’s National Meteorological Service (EMY) has issued a warning of a temporary weather deterioration with rainfalls and locally heavy thunderstorms, powerful winds and temperature drop.
The bad weather front is forecast to strike initially the mountainous and semi-mountainous regions in northern Greece as of Saturday noon (July 4) and last until Monday (July 7).
On Sunday(July 5) the front will affect the Ionian Sea and the broader mainland with the exception of Thrace.
Possibility of hail mainly in Macedonia.

North-West winds will be blowing with intensity of up to 5-6 Beaufort.
Temperature will drop on Sunday mainly in the areas affected by the bad weather front. It will not exceed 34-36 degrees Celsius and only in the islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea it will reach 37-38 C.

Saturday – Sunday, July 4-5
From Saturday night and especially early Sunday morning: Macedonia – mainly Central – Thessaly, Sporades, Sterea, Peloponnese, temporary Epirus and possibly northern Evia.
Monday, July 6
Morning and again in the evening: Central Macedonia, Thessaly, possibly Sporades islands.
Noon and afternoon: Peloponnese, Epirus and Sterea.
Tuesday, July 7
Noon and afternoon: Central Macedonia, rest of mainland and especially Peloponnese.
