Greece’s health authorities announced on Thursday, 1534 new coronavirus cases and another 81 deaths. The number of Covid-19 patients who are intubated stands at 571.
Death toll has reached 3,370 and the total cases stand at 121,253.
There is a minor improvement in the last couple of days, even though the number of daily deaths remains dangerously high.
964 Covid-patient have died since December 1 and this is an average of 96 people per day.
Among the latest fatalities there were 2 people aged 18-39 and 19 aged 40-64.
The prosecutor investigates the outbreak of coronavirus in a nursing home where 50 elderly have been tested positive to Covid-19.
Greek authorities are to announce on Friday morning which business sectors will open before Christmas.

According to the official daily bulletin on Τhursday, 5066(4.2%) of the total coronavirus cases are related to travel abroad and 34181 (28.2%) are related to already known infection case.
The remaining infections are without known source.
52.7% of the infected are men.
The number of intubated patients in ICUs stands at 571 from 578 a day earlier. Their average age is 66, among them are 166 women. 76.7% have underlying health problems or are aged over 70.
The number of intubated Covid-19 patients hardly surpasses 600 due to the capacity in the country’s hospitals.
697 people have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
Another 81 deaths in the last 24 hours increased death toll to 3370. Of the deceased 1351 were women. The average age of the deceased was 79 and 96.0% of the deceased had an underlying condition or/and was over 70 years old.

Tests in the last 24 hours: 17,326 with 8.85% οf them positive. A good, normal number with less reason for concerns is when positive is below 2%.
