Greece broke a new negative record on Thursday when the number of intubated Covid-19 patients reached 706. Health authorities announced also 2,588 new coronavirus cases and 52 more deaths in the past 24 hours.
Death toll since the begin of the pandemic stands at 7,701 and total infections at 247,992.
Greece confirmed 2,588 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, with 8 of these identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Thursday.
Daily change: 1.1%.
Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 76 infections are related to travel from abroad and 2,969 to other confirmed cases.
Number of intubated patients is 706 from 699 a day earlier.
A total of 1,643 have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic
439 Covid-19 patients were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours (daily change, -7.77%. Average admission of patients with Covid-19 to hospitals over the last 7 days was 480.
