Head of Greece’s Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias announced on Friday that bad epidemiological data increase the level of alert for specific regional units.

From tomorrow, Saturday, April 24, four more areas are included in the “very high risk regions.”

These are the regional units of Kavala, Rethymno and Argolida as well as the municipality of Kissamos by Chania.

At the same time, he announced which regions and municipalities exit the “deep red” status and are place in “red”.

These are: Chios, Ioannina, Konitsa, Tzoumerka, Eretria, Veria, Lamia and Rhodes.

All other areas maintain their current status quo.

Attica, central and western Macedonia remain a cause of concern, epidemiologists said on Friday.

  1. Kavala added to ‘very high risk regions’ yet they allow unhindered travel to Thassos.
Tourists arriving have to provide proof of vaccinations/negative tests but not for Kavala second home owners returning for easter !!
