Greek police arrested a woman suspected to have poured petroleum over four teenager girls playing below her balcony for “making noise.” Two of the victims are hospitalized. The incident took place on Sunday night in the municipality of Vyronas in Athens.
- The woman initially claimed that it was her cat who pushed the bottle with petroleum over the balcony but police found out that she did not owned a pet.
According to state broadcaster ERT, the girls, aged 13-15, were playing below the second-floor balcony of the woman, when the liquid fell on their hair and heads.
The girls started to scream for help, neighbors called ambulance and police.
The incident took place shortly after 8 o’ clock on Sunday evening and neighbors told ERT that the woman was not alone in her apartment.
The 35-year-old woman initially told police that her cat had accidentally pushed over the can she kept on the balcony but officers soon found out that she did not own a pet.
The woman is set free and is expected to face charges of causing bodily injuries.
Police continues the investigation.
