Platform for €150 vaccination bonus for aged 18-24 opens on July 20

The platform for the 150-euro bonus for vaccination of those aged 18-24 will open on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, will open on Tuesday 20 July, Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said on Monday.

Eligible for the prepaid ‘Freedom Pass” are those aged 18-24 who  will get the first dose of the vaccine. The bonus in form of prepaid card can be spent on cultural activities and travel.

“The young people will have to access gov.gr to fill in their application with their Taxisnet passwords,” the Minister said.

The government took the decision for the bonus as coronavirus infections affect mostly young people and it wanted to boost the vaccination program among the youth.

Meanwhile vaccinated can be also teenagers aged 15-17, however, without bonus yet with the parents’ consent.

Prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Monday, that the platform for the vaccination of children over 12 years old will open soon. He assured that children vaccination will not be mandatory.
