The president of the National Public Health Organisation (EOPY), Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, submitted his resignation on Saturday and thus amid the pandemic.
Prior to the resignation, media reports were speaking about it claiming the change in the leadership of the Health Ministry.
According to media information, Arkoumaneas is heading to a post at the Tourism Ministry where the former Health Ministry Vassilis Kikilias was moved at the recent cabinet reshuffle.
A new president is expected to be appointed at this crucial post amid the coronavirus pandemic in the next days.
