The Prosecutor’s office in Kardista, western Macedonia, filed severe charges against people who organized fake vaccinations against Covid-19 at the health center in Palamas area, last month. Four to five people are facing serious criminal charges including those of establishing a criminal organization and money laundering.
Dozens of people also from other regional units had flocked to the specific health center to join the “fake vaccination” program and leave it with fake vaccination certificates.
It is the first first criminal prosecution in connection to the case, while investigations are already underway, with a relevant order of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court in other parts of Greece where there are suspicions that false certificates of vaccination or illness have been issued.
Media reported early autumn that there were at least ten vaccination centers under scrutiny. The requirements for Rapid tests for workers and other activities in force since October have mounted reports about also fake “negative” Rapid test results.
The case file, submitted by the Karditsa prosecutor, concerns a total of 48 people who are under investigation in relation to the case.
