Shutting down emergency care for children during a pandemic which affects younger ages is a crime. Also a sign that the situation here is beyond salvageable. #Παιδων_Πεντελης #ΠαιδωνΠεντελης pic.twitter.com/jCAY0cZ4zN

On social media, Greeks posted that police hindered those bringing their children to vaccination against Covid-19,falsely claiming that it was the anarchists of Rouvikonas staging a protest.

The representative of Communist party KKE, Thanassis Pafilis said that “this incident shows that the health workers are the enemy for the governmental policy, the workers who are struggling to keep a crucial hospital open.” He called on the Ministry of Citizen’s protection to withdraw the riot police forces.

Children’s Hospital Pentelis is serving thousands of children in eastern Attica. By cancelling the emergency care means that the parents would need to bring their ill children to two public hospitals in downtown Athens or seek private clinics.

Health Minister Thanos Plevris filed a lawsuit against the health workers of Pentelis hospital, once they declared that the would launch a protest action.
Με την υπ.

PS and here we see another Greek paradox: normally Greek governments deploy riot police against health workers on strike or work stoppage. Today, riot police has been deployed against health workers demanding an open hospital.
Well, they have to get their money’s worth since they decided to spend so much money on policing rather than healthcare during the pandemic. Might as well give all those moron baboons they hired something to do – harassing the populace while they do their democratic right of peaceful protest sounds about right for this fascist, authoritarian regime.
