Shopping hours during the Greek Orthodox Easter Week

The shopping hours for retail stores in the country during the Greek Orthodox Easter Week were announced on Monday.  In 2022, Easter in Greece falls on April 24.The scheduled opening hours are the following:

– Sunday (April 17) shops open from 11:00 to 20:00 (11 a.m. – 8 p.m.)

– Holy Monday (April 18) until Holy Thursday (April 21) opening hours will be 09:00-21:00 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.)

– Good Friday (April 22): 13:00-21:00 (1 p.m. – 9 p.m.)

– Holy Saturday (April 23): 09:00-20:00 (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.)

On Easter Sunday (April 24) and Easter Monday (April 25) there is no shopping as all stores are closed.

Note that the supermarket operating hours are oriented on the same scheme more or less.
