Retail stores, supermarkets, butchers and small food stores are operating with a special schedule on Good Friday and Holy Saturday due to the religious services in Greece. The opening hours may differentiate form region to region.
It should be recalled that all stores and supermarkets are closed on Easter Sunday and Monday, April 24-25, 2022.
Good Friday, April 22
Butchers: open 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Retail stores: 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Supermarkets: 1 p.m. –
Holy Saturday, April 23
Retail stores: 9 a.m. – 3 or 4 p.m. Big department stores until 8 p.m.
Βutchers: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Supermarkets 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
The schedules above are for Athens and Thessaloniki. In other regions there may be changes according to decisions of the regional Chambers and Business Associations.
