  1. It is to be hoped that as part of the agreement they set up an effective methodology for exchanging information?

I have just gone through the online process set up by the Greek government to provide a tax residency certificate to give to the UK tax authority to prove that I am paying Greek tax on my UK income. The final outcome was an email saying that I cannot obtain a tax residency certificate through the process set up to issue tax residency certificates but instead I have to phone a specified number. My accountant tells me that the number given is never answered.

Any bright ideas how I can avoid paying tax on the same income twice?
