Retail stores and supermarkets throughout Greece will operate with special working hours during the Christmas and News Year holidays 2022/2023.
The operation hours during the holiday season include also two Sundays.
According to an announcement by the Business and Retail Association of Greece (SELPE), shops will operate:
On weekdays Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
On Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
On Sundays December 11 and December 18 they will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m
Note that shops are closed on public holidays Christmas December 25 and 26, on New Year January 1 and on Friday, January 6, when Greeks celebrate the Epiphany.
Sometimes shops are closed also on January 2nd.
