A tree branch fell on three tourists from Canada in one of the most popular parks in downtown Athens, in Zappeion. The tourists were lucky to have suffered only light injuries.
According to media reports, the two women and one man from Canada were sitting on a bench resting after a walk in Athens, when the heavy branch fell on the around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The two women were slightly injured, while the man had only some abrasions.
An ambulance was rushed to the scene, but the injured did not need to be taken to hospital.
Zappeion Park in the heart of Athens is located next to the National Garden, close to temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathinaikon Stadium is visited daily by hundreds of people either locals or visitors.
