Acropolis Museum offers free Admission on May 18

The Acropolis Museum in Athens will mark the International Museum Day on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with free admission for all visitors.

Free admission for all visitors is scheduled between 9:00 in the morning and 20:00 in the evening, while the museum’s restaurant will remain open until midnight.

According to a museum statement, as on every Saturday morning, visitors can enjoy the gallery tour “Saturday in the Museum with 20+1 masterpieces“.

With the help of archaeologists, visitors can discover the hidden stories of 20+1 selected masterpieces in tours that last 90 minutes.

Myths and fables, folklore and traditions, historical milestones and human stories transformed into art and spun into a vivid experience, during an outstanding walk through the Museum’s Galleries.

  • 12:30 in Greek.

However, this tour is against a fee of 15 euros and 10 euros reduced price: “An essential condition is the issuance of a day ticket for adults and a zero ticket for children.

It is recommended to register for the program before purchasing a ticket.

On Sunday, 19 May the museum will be open from 08:00 until 21:00 with the normal admission fee. The restaurant will be open from 08:00 until 21:00.
