A 74-year-old Dutch tourist went missing on the island of Samos since noon on Sunday. June 9. The man had decided to go hiking in the area between Limnionas and Klima, local media reported.
According to samosvoice.gr, A search operation has been launched and continued through the nigh and Monday, however, with no positive results, so far.
The Hellenic Rescue Team (Samos branch), the Police, the Fire Brigade, as well as members of the Marathokampos Volunteer Group, are actively participating in the search operation.
According to state broadcaster ERT, an eyewitness told authorities she had seen the man on Sunday and he looked very tired.
The man was spending vacations with his wife, who has been calling him on his mobile since he went missing, however, without success.
While the search operation continued also on Tuesday, no traces of the missing man have been found, local authorities told ANT1 TV at noon.
