Together with lawyers and a technical consultant, the father of the 19-year-old boy visited the fun park in Pefkohori, Halkidiki, where his son, Yiannis, was killed on Monday.
Armed with cameras, the group inspected the site and especially the remains of the “crazy dance” game, a horror game for the boy and his family.

The wagons were spinning at highest speed, when the back of a chair detached, Yiannis was ejected from the seat, crashed with the head on the ground and was killed instantly in front of the eyes of his 16-year-old brother with whom he shared the ride.
There in Pefkohori, the father was shocked for a second time to see the wretched conditions of the game.

“The forensic expert who had performed an autopsy on the scene two days ago, and delivered the findings to the investigators are shocking: the machines were old, poorly maintained and they should have been withdrawn from use.” via OPEN TV.

According to Open TV, the capacity of the crazy dance chairs was 60 kg, but “the two boys were together 180 kg,” the father said.

The park owner and the game operator were detained on Monday but were later set free.
The tragedy revealed a series of irregularities for which next to the owner, also the local mayor, the police, the electricity supplier and God-knows-who-else are involved.
The amusement park has been operating in the summer months in the area over the last 10-20 years. Every year, the owner has to submit documents including confirmations about the safety of the machinery he uses and get a license. This year the owner did not submit anything. However, he started the operation since the start of the summer and was even being supplied with power despite the fact that he had no license to show.
Yiannis’ family is determined to seek justice for their son using all means they have available.
The family lawyers have now requested the invoices and certifications of the crazy dance chairs as well as a certificate for the training of the operator.
