An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale rattled the mainland and islands in Central Greece late on Monday.
According to the revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale and occurred at 22:53:42 local time.
Its epicenter was 4 kilometers South-East of Vasilika, Istiaea in northern Evia, and had a focal depth of 15.4 kilometers.

The tremor was felt in the Sporades islands, Volos and the Magnesia Prefecture but also in Athens and Attica, 198 km away.

There are no preliminary reports of injuries or material damage.
