A 18-year-old girl in the northern city of Thessaloniki was charged with rape, following a complaint filed by a 20-year-old man earlier this week.
The act attributed to Greek-American woman was allegedly committed last Tuesday afternoon in an abandoned house, northeast of the city. The victim told the police that the woman took advantage of his indisposition due to alcohol consumption to achieve sexual intercourse.
Speaking to newsit.gr, the teenager said that “we got together to talk about getting back together again and I told her that I didn’t want to continue as she put some conditions I didn’t like.”
The two met on Tuesday afternoon, August 27.
“We met and during our meeting this happened. I don’t remember anything from that moment, the victim claimed.
A few hours later, when he realized what had happened, he went to the Police and reported the incident. On next day, the young man was also examined by a psychological expert.
Speaking to protothema.gr, sources close to the woman said that the two had a relation for about 10 months and broke up in June. “the man attempted suicide when they broke up,” the sources said adding that the two had met via the Instagram platform.
The woman denies all accusations and charges.
On the said day, the young man had consumed alcohol and some pills and they had consensual intercourse, the sources stated.
The woman was arrested and released on Thursday, pending trial.
